We're the Bakely family — a small, home-based Great Dane breeder in the Northeast with over a decade of experience and a lifetime support guarantee.
How It All Started
It started with Clutch — a fawn Great Dane we brought home in 2007 who promptly took over the couch, our hearts, and every room in the house. We were hooked from day one.
Over the years, we learned everything we could about the breed — health, structure, temperament, and what it truly takes to raise a Dane who thrives in a family home. We started our breeding program in 2024 with one goal: produce puppies we'd be proud to keep ourselves.
Today, every puppy born at Bakely Danes is raised underfoot in our home, handled daily from birth, and placed only with families we've gotten to know personally. We stay in touch for the life of every dog we place.
Our Breeding Philosophy
Temperament First
We select for dogs who are calm, confident, and gentle — the qualities that make a Great Dane a true family companion. Structure and beauty follow temperament, never the other way around.
Raised in Our Home
Our puppies are born in our home and spend their first eight weeks in the middle of family life — kids, noise, visitors, and all. They leave us socialized, confident, and ready for anything.
Lifetime Support
When you get a puppy from us, you get us — for life. We're always a call or text away for training questions, health concerns, or just to share a photo of your grown-up Dane.
Thoughtful Matching
We take time to get to know every family before placing a puppy. We ask questions, have real conversations, and match each puppy's personality to the right home — because the right fit matters for everyone.

Our Health Guarantee
We stand behind every puppy we place. Our guarantee is straightforward and in writing.
Vet Check at Pickup
Every puppy receives a full veterinary exam before going home. You'll have documentation of their health at the time of placement, including vaccines, and deworming records.
Return Policy
Life changes. If you're ever unable to keep your Bakely Dane for any reason, we take them back — no questions asked, no matter their age. Our dogs never end up in a shelter.
Purchase Contract
Every placement comes with a written purchase contract that clearly outlines the responsibilities of both parties. It covers co-ownership terms where applicable, spay/neuter agreements, and our commitment to you as a lifelong resource for your dog.
